Brown reports on his lecture tour of Ireland, and outlines the remainder of his itinerary there. He mentions circulating the materials on New Brunswick he brought with him, notably a set of essays and Bishop Sweeny’s papers. Copy of letter from James Brown, Aitken’s Temperance Hotel, 104, High Street, Edinburgh, to the Hon. S. L. Tilley. – 24 January 1862. – 4 pp. of textual records. Brown reports further on his lecture tour of Ireland, noting the numerous stops he has made and the materials on New Brunswick he has distributed along the way. He mentions the importance of the letters of introduction he carries and outlines the places he plans to visit in Scotland and northern England in the upcoming weeks. Brown also comments that he hopes to complete his mission by July and asks for instructions and advice. Brown left Liverpool for New Brunswick aboard the
